Potash Feldspar

Potash feldspar is a type of feldspar that is rich in potassium (K) and is widely used in ceramics. Potash feldspar acts as a flux in ceramics and glass manufacturing, which means it lowers the melting point of the raw materials during firing. This helps in the formation of a glassy phase, promoting the vitrification process (conversion to glass-like qualities) in ceramics and glass products. Potash feldspar is known for its high hardness, which contributes to the overall strength and durability of the ceramic bodies and glazes it is used in.
